Description:

This group campground is located at a cool 5200’ elevation, just South of Young, in the remote wilderness of the Tonto National Forest. There are vault toilets, tables, grills and fire rings. The onsite creek provides hours of hiking enjoyment and wildlife viewing. Workman's creek and waterfalls is just down the road for more hiking adventure.

There is no drinking water and no garbage collection. There are vault toilets, tables, and a large group fire ring. Please bring extra firewood for the council fire.

For further information on the area please contact the Tonto National Forest's Pleasant Valley Ranger District Office at: 928/462-4300, http://www.fs.fed.us/r3/tonto/home.shtml, (7:45–11:45 a.m. and 12:30–4:30 p.m. Mon.–Fri., and Sat. in summer); a sign marks the turnoff on the south side of town.


Directions:
Take US60 East to Miami, take State Highway 188 northwest for approximately 15 miles to its junction with State Highway 288. Turn right onto Highway 288 and drive north for approximately 27 miles. (most of which is a fairly rough and winding mountainous road). The Reynolds Creek Group Site will be on the left.
