About the Camp Directions Area Attractions

The elevation at this group campground is at a cool 6,500 feet in an area of the Coconino National Forest where the Ponderosa pine begin to turn to Pinyon and Juniper. The campground is located on the West side of 87 approximately 60 miles NE of Payson.

There is no water and no garbage collection. There are vault toilets, tables, and a large group fire ring. Also several ramadas and lots of opportunities for hiking, wildlife viewing, and of course, fun and games for all.

Take AZ 87 (Arizona/Country Club) North past Payson (~35miles). Continue North on AZ 87 past Clints Well for another 20 miles to milepost 309.9 (approx. 60miles NE of Payson). Turn left and go about 1/4 mile to the campground. GPS: N34 42' 32.148", W-111 6' 9.252"
