Description:

Clear Creek Campground is grassy and flat with shade provided by tall cottonwoods at an elevation of 3,200 feet. It is 6 miles southeast of Camp Verde in the Verde Valley. There are tables, fire rings and cooking grills, drinking water and vault toilets. Tents, motor homes and trailers under 32' are permitted. No utility hookups.

West Clear Creek flows along the boundary of this desert canyon country camp and is a popular place for hiking, swimming, wading and fishing. Cool water species such as smallmouth bass and green sunfish populate the stream near the campground. The oasis bordering the creek and extending into the campground is an excellent place for wildlife watching.

Directions:
From Phoenix, drive north on I-17. Leave I-17 at Highway 260 East, in Camp Verde. Proceed easterly through town. Go 6 miles to site turn off. Go 1/2 mile on dirt road to site.
